Street, Karen

Karen is one of the UK’s most well known and respected accordionists, she is also highly regarded as a saxophonist and as a composer for both instruments. Karen first started writing for saxophone as a way to introduce new repertoire to her students, and has since written all kinds of music for saxophone from solo studies to saxophone choirs. As a performer, she has performed with musicians including Bryan Ferry, Grace Jones and Pavarotti. Karen has been a member of Saxtet since 1993.
