Tango Q follows a traditional ternary form structure, with a slow tango in the outer sections and an upbeat and lovely compound metre middle section. Originally conceived as a piece for Nigel Wood & the composer to record on all the different instruments they play, this has been reworked into a saxophone ensemble piece to celebrate all the colours of the rainbow. Tango Q was premiered by the Equinox Saxophone Ensemble.
