Sonny’s Calypso

Description

From the composer: This piece was written for Saxology for a gig on 7th September. This happened to be the birthday of that tremendous tenor player Sonny Rollins, so I penned a vehicle for improvisation as a respectful dedication to the great musician. The written out solo borrows from some of his licks and tricks when in a Caribbean mood.
