Description

This famous jazz standard was originally written for the 1928 music-drama The Threepenny Opera. This music-drama tells the story of the knife-wielding criminal Macheath (hence Mack the Knife) who operated in the sinister London underworld. Since then it has been made famous by many musicians including Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and Bobby Darin.
