McChrystal, Gerard

Gerard was born in Derry, N.Ireland, and a member of Saxtet from 1987 -1992 Gerard has performed in over 35 countries and has made over 15 albums with orchestras including BBC NOW, Ulster Orchestra and London Musici. His main ambition is to develop collaborations and encourage composers, especially from Ireland, to write for the saxophone. Gerard is Professor of Saxophone at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, and a Vandoren artist.
