Mary Gilmartin was a classical pianist, accompanist, and music educator who was an active figure in the mid-to-late 20th-century UK music scene. She is most notably recognized for her association with the historic Northern School of Music.
Mary committed much of her career to fostering future generations of musical talent. She served as a long-standing member of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) panel of examiners, assessing classical piano and music theory candidates across the United Kingdom.
