Description
From the arranger: In a modest way, I hope my arrangement of this aria captures the essence of Mozart’s opera, “The Marriage of Figaro” – lyrical eloquence with a sense of pantomime.
Performers of my woodwind quartet arrangement of this aria will have to take into account the elegance and charm of this music. Apart from the musical qualities of this aria, I like the concept that a mere page, Cherubino, should dare to express his love for a Countess.
Rather than transcribe the vocal line to the upper part alone, I have divided it between the instruments in order to make it more interesting to play.
