Description
A great concert opener! This work begins with a grand statement before launching into broad themes played out over syncopated funk accompaniment. “Simon’s Mangrove Groove” was commissioned by Simon Balle School, Mangrove Road, in Hertford to celebrate the opening of their new music centre. The first performance was given in the new building by “Saxidentals”, the school’s own saxophone choir, on 24th January 2008.
“Simon’s Mangrove Groove” is also published for an even larger saxophone ensemble, also available from Saxtet Publications.
