Description
This brilliant arrangement of Rudy Wiedoeft’s Saxophobia captures all the fun and bravado of his original composition for saxophone and piano.
The melody is mainly shared between soprano 1, alto 1, tenor 1 and baritone 1, although there are snippets of the tune in other parts. There’s lots of artistic freedom permitted to add in Rudy’s signature scoops, lip trills, glissandi and other saxophone special-effects.
As well as optional parts for sopranino and bass saxes, this digital download comes with lots of alternative parts so you can make this arrangement fit your ensemble.
This piece is a fantastic addition to the saxophone ensemble repertoire and is a guaranteed audience pleaser! As a short and snappy work, it would make a brilliant opener or a fantastic encore to your next concert. It could even become your saxophone ensemble’s signature piece!
