Description

Promenade (Walking The Dog) is one of the musical numbers written by George Gershwin for the 1937 film Shall We Dance, famously starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.  In the film, the music accompanies a sequence of walking a dog on board a luxury liner. In 1960, the sequence was published as Promenade.

This fun musical interlude is perfect for any concert programme. Perhaps a gentle surprise start to a second half as the audience are still getting ready to sit back down?
