Description
“Morning Mood” was originally written as incidental music for Henrik Ibsen’s play “Peer Gynt”. Edvard Grieg later included “Morning Mood” as the first movement of his “Peer Gynt Suite No.1”.
In the original “Peer Gynt”, this works depicts the rising of the sun over the Moroccan desert, with Peer Gynt finding himself stranded after his companions abandoned him as he slept.
An ideal concert opener!
