From the composer:
“After the demise of the North West Saxophone Choir we re-grouped as The Scouse Octet, named after the traditional Liverpudlian delicacy which we ate after one of our first rehearsals. I had to take a short leave of absence from the group as I had to have cataract operations in both eyes. During this time I wrote this piece to let them know that their progress was being monitored!”
This fun, swing inspired work gives every part a moment in the spotlight, and is ideal as a concert opener or encore. A guaranteed crowd pleaser!
