In this tribute to Astor Piazzolla, Karen uses her trademark reflective lyricism and subtle energy to take an intriguingly ambiguous look at the tango’s vigour and passion. Various versions of “I Dance for You” can be found on CD, including Nigel Wood’s “Soprillogy” and “Finally a Beginning” both featuring Karen herself on accordion.
The E-Edition PDF bundle comes with a Bb saxophone part and two accordion accompaniments; the original free-bass accordion as played by Karen, and an adapted part for Stradella bass accordions. A version for saxophone & piano is also available from Saxtet Publications.
