Written from a need to write some short, relatively straightforward clarinet pieces aimed at advanced students, these are above all meant to be fun and enjoyable to play; while they certainly work well as a set, they can of course be played separately. They are a kind of contemporary equivalent, I suppose, of the Finzi Bagatelles. (2018)
