Description

Constellations at Dawn was the winner of the inaugural Saxophone Orchestra Manchester composition competition.

From the composer:

Constellations at Dawn is inspired by my experience throughout high school.
Our high school’s jazz band would rehearse in the mornings at 5:30am, and when I had activities at school, I often would never see the sun, almost as if it had never been there. In the mornings before jazz, I often would stare into the night sky and reflect on my high school experience. Seeing the constellations in the sky while the sun rose softly in the distance would calm me in the morning. While high school was certainly a stressful time for myself and my peers, I enjoyed those mornings and how the stars and the night sky would welcome the day for me.
