Description
Taken from “Twelve Concerti Grossi, Op.6”, the Concerto Grossi in G minor is perhaps the most well-know, being popularly know as “The Christmas Concerto”. Perhaps the finest example of Baroque-style Concerti Grossi, these paved the way for the Concerti Grossi of Vivaldi, Bach and Handel.
Originally published in 1714, they have now, 301 years later, been expertly arranged for an SSB Concertino, and SSAB Ripieno by Professor of Saxophone at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and acclaimed saxophonist. Christian Forshaw.
