Description
This witty and imaginative take on Australia’s signature waltz “Waltzing Matilda” was originally written for soprillo saxophone and called “Waltzing Soprillda”.
“Matilda Goes Walkabout” is an adaptation for clarinet and revisits ‘Matilda’ in the styles of Ravel, Schubert, Beethoven, Sousa, swing and more, and she is (of course!) serenaded with didgeridoo fanfares.
Although written for the soprillo and piano this clarinet and piano version can be played on any Bb or Eb clarinet allowing this antipodean gem to get the wider airing it deserves.
The E-Edition PDF bundle includes Bb and Eb clarinet parts and the piano accompaniment.
“Matilda Goes Walkabout!” is also available in hard-copy from June Emerson Wind Music.
