Peter Nichols

Peter Nichols

Peter Nichols studied at Keble College, Oxford and Trinity College of Music, London. He is a clarinettist and saxophonist who performs as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player in prestigious venues worldwide.

His various CD recordings have received critical acclaim and many new works, including two concertos, have been written especially for him.

He was a member of the Northern Saxophone Quartet from 1984 until 1992, performing with them at three World Saxophone Congresses, and he is also a member of the Holywell Ensemble. Peter has played in several West End shows and is currently a member of the orchestra of The Phantom of the Opera.

He has wide teaching experience at all levels including at the Royal College of Music and The University of Surrey and was a director of The British Saxophone Congress from 1990 until 2002.
